Armenia, China sign international road transport agreement

An agreement on international road transportation of passengers and goods was signed between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on September 22.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Armenia by Kristine Ghalechyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the agreement regulates reliable and highly efficient international road transportation between the two countries, aimed at developing foreign trade ties.

Kristine Ghalechyan emphasized that the agreement is another important step toward deepening cooperation in the transport sector and strengthening connectivity between the two countries.

The signing of the agreement is an important step toward the practical implementation of the strategic partnership between Armenia and China, the ministry said. 

The agreement was signed at a high-level meeting on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor hosted by China’s Ministry of Transport in Beijing.
