Justice Minister Srbui Galyan received Florian Escudié, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Armenia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador on assuming office and expressed hope that his tenure would give new impetus to Armenia-France cooperation in areas falling within the remit of the Ministry of Justice.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of issues, particularly constitutional reforms, the law on equality, the institution of confiscation of property of illicit origin, the fight against domestic violence, digitalisation of the justice sector, development of the penitentiary system, and cooperation in the field of human rights protection.
At the end of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue active dialogue and deepen cooperation in these areas.
