Ten people missing after floods found in Nepal

UAE rescuers have found 10 people who went missing following floods in Nepal.

According to RIA Novosti, the UAE’s WAM news agency reported this.

“The rescue team managed to find ten people who had been missing following the floods in Nepal, bringing the total number of missing people found since the search-and-rescue team began its operation to 18,” WAM reported.

According to the agency, search operations are continuing in the Rasuwa district and near the Trishuli River and surrounding affected areas. Rescuers are using modern equipment and technologies, including unmanned aerial vehicles, aerial photography and three-dimensional mapping.

On the morning of August 26, floods occurred in northern Nepal after a powerful surge of water from the Chinese side poured into the Bhote Koshi River. The flooding occurred following an earthquake and the resulting landslide. The death toll exceeded 1,300.
