Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump have held a telephone conversation.

According to RIA Novosti, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov announced this.

“The telephone conversation lasted exactly one hour. It was constructive and quite frank,” Ushakov told reporters.

According to him, the two leaders positively assessed the results of visits by US presidential special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv.

Ushakov said the sides analysed in detail and objectively the situation in the conflict zone in Ukraine.

He noted that work in this direction would continue and that Putin and Trump had agreed to remain in contact.

At the same time, the US President stressed the need to end the conflict in Ukraine, which, according to him, would open up prospects for restoring relations.
