Armenia highlights investment potential at AIM Congress

Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in a ministerial roundtable discussion on investment on September 8 as part of the 15th AIM Congress being held in Dubai.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, during the discussion, Papoyan addressed the priorities of Armenia’s industrial policy, emphasizing that over the next decade, the focus will be on developing modern and highly productive industry, technological modernization, digitalization, and automation.
Gevorg Papoyan presented the key opportunities of Armenia’s investment environment, emphasizing the importance of foreign direct investments in creating new production capacities, transferring technology and knowledge, developing human capital, as well as integrating Armenian companies into global value chains.
“Armenia is ready to transform from an attractive destination for investment into an investment platform by combining capital, technologies, and human potential and creating products for regional and global markets,” the minister said.
Among the major projects being implemented in Armenia’s artificial intelligence sector, Gevorg Papoyan highlighted the Firebird AI technology project being implemented in Armenia through cooperation between Firebird and NVIDIA.
