Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence Davit Tadevosyan received representatives of French organization CEA-Leti, led by Executive Vice President for Strategic Technology Partnerships Michaël Tchagaspanian.
The Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence said that during the meeting, the prospects for expanding cooperation with CEA-Leti and implementing joint programs were discussed, particularly in the fields of the semiconductor industry, engineering, and semiconductor research.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation with Armenia’s higher education institutions. The possibilities of expanding ongoing programs implemented within the framework of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and Yerevan State University, implementing new initiatives of mutual interest, as well as developing long-term student exchange programs were discussed.
The sides also discussed the possibilities for CEA-Leti to cooperate with international and local technology companies operating in Armenia, as well as research institutions, and implement joint programs.
The discussions focused on the development of the technology industry and engineering innovation, deepening cooperation in the fields of IC design, microelectronics and nanoelectronics, developing production capacities, as well as implementing programs aimed at further promoting Armenia’s technology and research ecosystem.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed on further steps for cooperation.
CEA-Leti is one of France’s leading research centers, known for its leading position in the field of micro- and nanotechnologies. The center actively cooperates with scientific and industrial partners, developing innovative solutions in the fields of electronics, artificial intelligence, communication technologies, and nanoelectronics.
