Rubinyan and Maragos highlight role of Armenia-EU cooperation in establishing lasting peace in region

Armenian National Assembly Speaker Ruben Rubinyan received Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, on September 1, according to a statement issued by the National Assembly’s Public Relations and Communications Department.
“A number of issues related to the further deepening of Armenia-European Union relations and political dialogue were discussed. The expansion of cooperation with the European Union and continued dialogue were highlighted. The importance of and readiness for active cooperation between the Armenian National Assembly and the European Parliament were emphasised,” the statement said.
Ruben Rubinyan and Vassilis Maragos exchanged views on regional developments. They highlighted the importance of opening regional communications and emphasised the significance of Armenia-EU cooperation in establishing lasting peace and stability in the region.
