Armenian, Azerbaijani FMs hold brief exchange

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a brief exchange with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Bishkek, where Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev held talks on the sidelines of the SCO summit.

Pashinyan is in the Kyrgyz capital for the SCO Plus-format meeting and events held within the framework of the SCO summit.

His delegation includes Deputy PM Mher Grigoryan, FM Ararat Mirzoyan and Security Council Secretary Alen Simonyan.

Pashinyan earlier held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon.

The Prime Minister’s Office earlier said that PM Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev agreed, through direct bilateral engagement, to continue efforts to further consolidate lasting peace, advance the normalization of interstate relations, and strengthen connectivity.
