Over 23,500 applications for Armenian citizenship submitted in H1 2026

In the first half of 2026, 23,522 applications were submitted for Armenian citizenship, including 14,142 by persons displaced from Karabakh, the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a press release.

A total of 14,770 people were granted Armenian citizenship during the same period, including 8,676 persons displaced from Karabakh.

At the same time, 1,128 applications were submitted as part of the process of terminating Armenian citizenship, while Armenian citizenship was terminated for 2,495 people.

In the first half of 2026, 61,257 minors were issued Armenian passports.
