Construction of second bypass tunnel underway on North-South Road Corridor

Construction of the second tunnel bypassing Meghri, which is being built on the 32-km Kajaran–Agarak section of the North-South Road Corridor, is in full swing.

The tunnel is 530 meters long.

The Road Department said that excavation of the tunnel has been completed. Work is continuing to reinforce and stabilize the inner walls, while concreting of the lining floor has also begun.
