Iran meeting involving foreign ministers of several countries to take place on August 30 – DPA

A meeting on Iran will take place in Istanbul on August 30, with the foreign ministers of the European trio – the United Kingdom, Germany and France – as well as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye expected to attend, DPA reported, citing German government sources.

The talks were initiated by the German and Turkish sides. Among other issues, the ministers will discuss ways to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the security situation in the region. The participating countries expect the meeting to send a signal to the United States about the need to continue negotiations with Iran.

DPA reported that the situation in the Black Sea and Ukrainian grain exports will also be on the agenda.
