Three ministries to be renamed as National Assembly adopts bill in full

Armenia’s National Assembly adopted in the second reading and in full a package of draft laws on amendments to the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government. A total of 64 MPs voted in favour of the package, while 26 voted against.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will be renamed the Ministry of Labour and Wellbeing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will become the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry will be renamed the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence.
National Assembly Speaker Ruben Rubinyan announced that the agenda of the first session of the ninth convocation of the National Assembly had been exhausted.
The National Assembly’s next regular session will begin on September 14.
