Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office said.
Pashinyan congratulated the Kazakh President on the successful conduct of the Kurultai elections. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the convincing results of the vote confirmed the broad support of Kazakhstan’s citizens for the course of reforms being implemented by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Kazakh President thanked Pashinyan for the congratulations and warm wishes, stressing the importance of developing multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
The two leaders also exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation in implementing regional transport projects.
The Armenian Prime Minister and the Kazakh President agreed to continue discussions on suitable occasions in the near future, particularly during the Kazakh President’s visit to Armenia in October.
