Latest army death unrelated to military service

A 37-year-old serviceman died today from causes unrelated to military service, the Defense Ministry said, responding to media reports that he had committed suicide.

“According to preliminary data, a 37-year-old serviceman died today from causes unrelated to military service. Proceedings have been initiated,” the Defense Ministry told Armenpress when asked to comment on a media report claiming that the death was a suicide.

Earlier, Hraparak newspaper reported that the body of a contract serviceman had been found at one of the military units in Sisian, adding that, according to preliminary information, the serviceman had committed suicide.
