Armenian ombudsperson meets Canadian ambassador

Human Rights Defender (Ombudsperson) Anahit Manasyan held a meeting with Canadian Ambassador to Armenia Andrew Turner.

The meeting took place on the occasion of Ambassador Turner’s completion of his diplomatic mission.

According to a readout from Manasyan’s office, the ambassador thanked the Ombudsperson for effective cooperation with the Human Rights Defender’s institution and the joint work carried out.

Ombudsperson Anahit Manasyan highly valued the cooperation established with the Embassy of Canada in Armenia and the support provided by the ambassador in the field of human rights protection.

During the meeting, the importance of continuing the established cooperation aimed at protecting human rights and strengthening democratic values was emphasized.

Ambassador Andrew Turner thanked Manasyan for receiving him, as well as for the effective cooperation and open and constructive dialogue, emphasizing the important role of the Human Rights Defender’s institution in protecting human rights.
