Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is presenting his administration’s 2026-2031 government program to lawmakers ahead of parliamentary debates.
At the beginning of his speech, the prime minister said that on June 7, 2026, the people of the Republic of Armenia voted in favor of the ideology of “Real Armenia.”
“The outcome of these elections is historic because it redefines the functional significance of the Republic of Armenia. In 1990, the declaration of Armenia’s independence was based on the philosophy that we need a state to restore historical justice, and this perception was expressed through the Karabakh movement.
“The ideology of ‘Real Armenia’ records that the sole functional purpose of the Republic of Armenia is to ensure peace, freedom and security for its citizens within its internationally recognized territory of 29,743 square kilometers, to create an environment for the happiness of its citizens, and to preserve and develop the identity of the people.
“It is in favor of such a state and vision that the citizens of the Republic of Armenia voted on June 7, 2026,” the prime minister said.
