Armenian gymnasts advance at European Championships

Members of Armenia’s artistic gymnastics team at the European Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, advanced through the qualification round in their respective apparatus events.

Olympic silver and bronze medalist and world and European champion Artur Davtyan advanced in the vault with a score of 14.716. World Cup winner Artur Avetisyan advanced in the rings with 14.333, while Vahagn Davtyan also advanced in the rings with 14.166. World silver medalist Mamikon Khachatryan advanced in the pommel horse with 14.766, while European champion Hamlet Manukyan advanced with 14.733.

The apparatus finals will be held on Aug. 21-22.
