Switzerland adopts measures from EU’s 20th sanctions package against Russia

Swiss authorities have expanded sanctions against Russia by adopting a number of measures included in the European Union’s 20th sanctions package against the Russian Federation, Interfax reported, citing the Swiss Federal Council.

“On August 19, the Federal Council decided to adopt additional measures from the EU’s 20th sanctions package against Russia,” the statement said.

According to the statement, the new measures will enter into force on August 20 and will apply to the energy, trade and financial sectors.
