Parliament is debating the candidacy of MP Nazeli Baghdasaryan for chair of the Committee on Labor and Welfare Affairs.
Baghdasaryan has been nominated by the Civil Contract faction.
In her speech, Baghdasaryan thanked the faction and the party’s governing board for considering her candidacy.
Earlier, the opposition Strong Armenia faction nominated Arega Hovsepyan for chair of the Committee on European Integration.
The Civil Contract faction nominated Lusine Badalyan for chair of the Committee on Healthcare.
The opposition Armenia Alliance faction nominated Lilit Galstyan for chair of the Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs.
The Civil Contract faction nominated Sisak Gabrielyan for chair of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Sports and Diaspora Affairs.
The Strong Armenia faction nominated David Ghazinyan for chair of the Committee on Territorial Administration and Environmental Protection.
The Civil Contract faction nominated Babken Tunyan for chair of the Committee on Economic Affairs.
The Strong Armenia faction nominated Hayk Farmanyan for chair of the Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.
The Civil Contract faction nominated Arusyak Julhakyan for chair of the Committee on State and Legal Affairs.
The Civil Contract faction nominated Vilen Gabrielyan for chair of the Committee on Defense and Security Affairs.
The candidates need to be approved in a vote following the hearings.
