14-year-old Armenian chess player defeats Magnus Carlsen in Titled Tuesday tournament

A 14-year-old FIDE Master and Armenian chess player, Tigran Hambardzumyan, defeated the world’s top-rated player, Magnus Carlsen, in the Titled Tuesday online chess tournament held on August 18, the Armenian Chess Federation said in a press release.

Titled Tuesday is an online rapid chess tournament hosted by Chess.com, featuring players with FIDE and national chess titles. The tournament is played in an 11-round Swiss-system format, with 5 minutes per player and no increment.
