Yerevan launches cleanup of Hrazdan Gorge

Yerevan city authorities and the “Green Green” Eco-Center environmental NGO have cleaned up a section of the Hrazdan Gorge.

The cleanup was carried out at the initiative of the Yerevan City Hall’s Environmental Department, in cooperation with the Municipal Services Department and the Kentron administrative district.

City Hall released a video of the cleanup.

During the operation, construction and household waste, as well as various other types of litter that had accumulated in the river and gorge over decades, were removed.

The purpose of such regular cleanup efforts is to maintain the cleanliness of the Hrazdan Gorge, which is one of the key components of Yerevan’s ecosystem.
