Armenian grandmaster Haik Martirosyan defeated Poland’s Jakub Seemann in the third round of the Rubinstein Chess Festival 2026.
He now has 1.5 points, half a point behind the leader of the tournament.
The tournament features 10 players and consists of nine rounds. It will conclude on August 23.
Slovenia’s Vladimir Fedoseev currently leads the tournament with 2 points.
Poland’s Szymon Gumularz and Jan Malek also have 2 points and are currently in second and third place, respectively, in the standings.
