Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev has sent a congratulatory message to Ararat Mirzoyan on his reappointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, according to the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
In his message, Kosherbayev expressed confidence that the strategic partnership between Armenia and Kazakhstan would continue to strengthen across all areas, thanks to the strong bonds of friendship that have linked the Armenian and Kazakh peoples for centuries, the mutual understanding between the leaders of the two countries, and close cooperation between their foreign ministries.
The Armenian government submitted its resignation on August 2, when the first session of the parliament formed following the June 7 parliamentary elections in Armenia began. Under the Armenian Constitution, the government is required to submit its resignation to the president on the day the newly elected parliament holds its first session.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the government’s resignation on August 2, and it was submitted to the Presidential Office. The president accepted the government’s resignation, after which the Civil Contract party, which secured a majority in the newly formed parliament, nominated Pashinyan for prime minister. On that basis, the president reappointed him as prime minister.
On August 3, at Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s proposal, President Vahagn Khachaturyan also appointed the ministers and deputy prime ministers. Ararat Mirzoyan was reappointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
