Papikyan highlights importance of involving public figures in Defence Ministry’s Public Council

Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan chaired the inaugural meeting of the Public Council attached to the Ministry of Defence, held at the ministry’s administrative headquarters on June 26.
According to the Defence Ministry, Papikyan thanked the participants for applying to become members of the council and noted that the involvement of representatives from various spheres of public life is both important and welcome.
Emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between the army and society, Papikyan stressed that the Public Council is expected to play a significant role in that process.
During the council’s first meeting, the participants discussed and outlined the main areas of cooperation, as well as the platforms through which their collaboration will begin.
