Tourism in Armenia surges to record levels in January–May 2026

Tourist arrivals in Armenia hit a record high in January–May 2026, the Ministry of Economy has said.

“During that period, 825,384 tourists visited Armenia, ensuring a 19.3% increase compared to tourist arrivals in the same period of 2025. This figure reflects growing interest in Armenia and the continued rise in the country’s tourism appeal. The launch of new direct flights, as well as active and targeted marketing campaigns in international markets, are contributing to increased awareness of Armenia and positioning the country as an attractive and interesting tourist destination,” the ministry said.
