Armenian Prime Minister and Civil Contract Party Board Chairman Nikol Pashinyan, who is on vacation, stated in Gegharkunik Province during a campaign event for the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7 that one option for resolving the Artsvashen issue could be an exchange.

The Armenian prime minister said that the issue is no longer a matter of tension for the Armenian side.

“One option for resolving the Artsvashen issue could be an exchange. The principle is as follows: do Armenia and Azerbaijan want to harm each other through the border delimitation process, or do they want to resolve issues in such a way that our children and their children will no longer have these issues? Our duty is to leave our children a country with a cadastral document, which already exists. What remains is to finalize the markings in that cadastral document and pass on to future generations the state established by that cadastral document. There will be security, and Armenia’s defense capabilities will continue to increase,” the Armenian prime minister said.
