Israel warns of possible strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs

The Israeli military has warned that it is prepared to strike Beirut’s southern suburbs and has called on local residents to leave their homes.

According to Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency, the warning was issued by Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee in a post on the social media platform X. 

“The Israel Defense Forces warn residents of the Dahieh district in Beirut and call on them to evacuate for their own safety,” Adraee wrote.

He said that if Hezbollah continues launching rockets toward Israeli cities and towns, the Israeli military will carry out strikes against targets located in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital.
