Downtown Yerevan faces traffic restrictions ahead of Republic Day military parade

Yerevan downtown will face widespread traffic restrictions on May 28–29 as the city prepares for a military parade in Republic Square, where Armenia’s armed forces are set to showcase newly acquired military equipment.

The parade will take place on May 28, Republic Day, with kickoff scheduled at 10:00.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the following traffic restrictions:

On May 28, from 07:00 to 15:00:

The Athens Street–Mashtots Avenue–Amiryan Street section Republic Square and all streets leading into the square,

The Amiryan Street–Tigran Mets Avenue–Agatangeghos Street–Grigor Lusavorich Street–Argishti Street–Athens Street section,

The Shahumyan Square–Khorenatsi Street–Agatangeghos Street section,

The Athens Street–Mashtots Avenue–Amiryan Street section, as well as the Tigran Mets Avenue–Mher Mkrtchyan Street–Khorenatsi Street–Italy Street area near City Hall,

Streets adjacent to Republic Square, including Zakyan–Amiryan, Abovyan–Aram, Nalbandyan–Sakharov Square, Melik-Adamyan–Tigran Mets–Agatangeghos intersection, Beirut–Grigor Lusavorich, Italy–Grigor Lusavorich, Khorenatsi–Beirut, Khorenatsi–Agatangeghos, Agatangeghos Street in its entirety, and Vazgen Sargsyan–Republic Square road sections

The Republic Square–Tigran Mets Avenue–Kristapor intersection part will be closed until 01:00 on May 29.
