Pashinyan says TRIPP-related processes gain pace

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the ongoing processes regarding the TRIPP project have not slowed down but are gaining pace, with both Armenia and the United States seeking to move forward as quickly as possible.

Speaking during a government Q&A session in parliament, Pashinyan said Armenia has received high-level assurances that the project remains a priority for the United States.

“The processes related to TRIPP have not only not slowed down, they have accelerated. Both sides — Armenia and the U.S. — are interested in implementing the project as quickly as possible,” he said.

Pashinyan noted that discussions in recent days have focused on the construction of power transmission lines, including the possibility of carrying out construction work ahead of schedule, he said.

He said the project has reached a more advanced stage, adding that its economic importance has further increased, reinforcing its priority status for both countries.

“I expect that engagement, interest and the pace of implementation will only increase in the near future,” he said, adding that Azerbaijan has also shown interest in the initiative.

“There is no working day when I do not address issues related to TRIPP or give instructions, together with other members of the government involved in the process,” he said.
