Amid developments in the Middle East, Armenia's Foreign Ministry has assisted in obtaining permits for Muscat–Yerevan flights, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said.
Badalyan said an Armenian embassy diplomat was present at the UAE–Oman border to facilitate the entry of Armenian citizens traveling from the United Arab Emirates to Oman.
She noted that the diplomat also provided the necessary assistance to Armenian citizens at Muscat airport.
“In addition to the passengers of the Muscat–Yerevan flights, three Armenian citizens who were in Oman at the time the hostilities broke out have already returned to Armenia,” Badalyan said.
At present, five Armenian citizens in Oman have contacted the Armenian Embassy.
“The embassy is in contact with all of them. Accommodation has been provided by airlines, and options for departure to Armenia are being discussed,” Badalyan said.
