Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed strong support for Georgia’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and political independence after talks with his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze.

He said Armenia considers the establishment of long-term stability and peace in the region based on Georgia’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence as highly important.

“I am very pleased to note that Armenia and Georgia continue to actively cooperate on international platforms. We attach great importance to establishing long-term stability and peace in the region based on Georgia’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence. It is on this very foundation that Armenia and Azerbaijan have built and are continuing to build peace, and I believe this is truly a historic opportunity for our region.

I would like to wish that lasting peace and settlement will also be achieved in Georgia. And it must be said directly that we are highly interested in this, because we see a great opportunity to overcome the difficult historical fate of our region, and we hope that this opportunity will be utilized,” the Prime Minister of Armenia said after the 15th session of the Armenia-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation held in Georgia, which he co-chaired with Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze.
