Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has thanked Armenia for supporting his country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
He made the remarks alongside Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan after the 15th session of the Armenia-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation held in Georgia.
The Georgian PM attached importance to strengthening bilateral ties amid the developments in the Middle East.
According to Kobakhidze, the historically good relations between Armenia and Georgia serve as a foundation for bilateral strategic partnership.
“We are happy and excited that we have very high-level cooperation and are constantly interested in deepening our strategic partnership. This friendship is based on mutual respect and shared interests. I would like, once again taking this opportunity, to thank Armenia for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, particularly for backing the resolution in support of Georgia at the UN General Assembly,” emphasized Kobakhidze.
The Prime Minister of Georgia stated that he discussed the bilateral agenda with the Prime Minister of Armenia, as well as cooperation in various fields, which, according to Kobakhidze, is at a high level.
In this regard, Irakli Kobakhidze especially highlighted the development and achievements of Armenia-Georgia trade and economic relations.
“In terms of trade, Armenia is among the top ten partners in Georgia’s foreign trade,” he noted.
Kobakhidze also pointed out that bilateral tourism is developing as well.
