An Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in the Lebanese city of Baalbek, killing at least five civilians and wounding 15 others, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Rescuers are searching the rubble for survivors. As of Tuesday evening, the death toll in Lebanon had reached 50, with 335 people wounded in the Israeli strikes.

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli military issued an evacuation order for 16 villages in southern Lebanon on March 4.

The strikes also hit a hotel in Baabda. Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it had struck an Israeli military position near Metula, Israel.

Hezbollah launched attacks on Israel after the U.S. and Israeli joint strikes killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Israel launched a military operation in Lebanon. Meanwhile, Lebanese authorities said they would enforce a ban on Hezbollah’s military activities.
