Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced on Monday that the first batch of high-performance artificial intelligence equipment (GPUs) has already arrived in Armenia.

“This is an important step toward implementing the Armenian Government’s AI Factory Gardens concept and establishing our country’s next-generation AI data infrastructure. The import of this equipment represents the realization of our vision and a decisive step in defining Armenia’s place in shaping the technologies of the future.

This phase follows our strategic meeting months ago with the leadership of Eleveight AI, which is building an AI data center in Gagarin. During that meeting, we identified the expansion of high-performance AI infrastructure, as well as increasing access to and affordability of technology, as one of our national priorities.

This infrastructure will engage local innovators, strengthen our computational capabilities, and accelerate digital transformation in both the public and private sectors,” the minister wrote on Facebook.
