Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented the main outcomes of his administration’s activities in 2025.
In a video posted on social media, Pashinyan read the preamble of the government’s 2025 performance report under the 2021–2026 program, which was approved at today’s Cabinet meeting ahead of parliamentary debates.
“The year 2025 is the first calendar year since Armenia’s independence in which there were no casualties or injuries resulting from exchanges of gunfire between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan was established on August 8, 2025. The year 2025 is also the first since independence in which emigration of Armenian citizens was replaced by immigration [return migration]. A high economic growth rate of 7.2 percent was recorded, resulting in an average annual GDP growth of 7.9 percent for the period 2021–2025,” Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister recalled that his administration had promised to ensure average annual economic growth of 7 percent.
In 2025, state budget revenues increased by 135 percent compared to 2017.
He noted that questions may arise as to where those revenues went and what happened to them. “Here is what happened: today in Armenia, there are teachers earning salaries of 700,000 drams, soldiers earning 700,000 drams or more, and funding for healthcare, education, and science has increased significantly. In the field of science, salaries have increased by as much as 300 percent,” Pashinyan elaborated.
