Labor Minister Torosyan meets UK Ambassador

On February 25, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia Alexandra Pamela Cole, the ministry said in a press release.

During the meeting, the importance of the consistent development and deepening of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and the United Kingdom was emphasized.

The parties discussed the demographic situation in Armenia, programs aimed at increasing employment and labor market competitiveness, as well as reforms related to the development and deinstitutionalization of the foster care system.

Minister Torosyan also presented details on policies implemented in the areas of women’s issues and the protection of children’s rights.

The sides expressed readiness to continue and expand effective cooperation in the mentioned areas through the exchange of professional experience and the implementation of joint initiatives.
