Economy Minister, FIA Secretary General for Sport discuss development of cooperation

Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan on Tuesday received a delegation led by Valerio Iachizzi, Secretary General for Sport of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile), the governing body of Formula 1, the Ministry of Economy said in a readout.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Armenia and the FIA, including Formula 1, aimed at fully realizing industrial and engineering potential in the field of motorsport, promoting tourist flows through the organization of international events, as well as issues related to increasing Armenia’s investment attractiveness and strengthening its international positioning.

Minister Papoyan presented Armenia’s economic development priorities and ongoing infrastructure programs. He reaffirmed the Government’s readiness to support joint initiatives and consider proposals of mutual interest.
