A discussion on the effective management of confiscated assets was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia said in a press release.
Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan presented the existing mechanisms and international commitments, outlined the studied international experience, and proposed further actions within the framework of Armenia–EU visa liberalization and compliance with EU directive requirements.
It was proposed to establish an asset recovery office, ensure public accountability, and create a registry of frozen and confiscated property.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of targeted management of confiscated assets and instructed relevant bodies to carry out work aimed at strengthening the legal and institutional framework in this area.
