Agenda documents for COP17 in Armenia discussed at SBI-6 meeting in Rome

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia participated, as part of the Armenian delegation, in the 6th meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI-6) of the Convention on Biological Diversity, held in Rome, the ministry said.

During the meeting, participants discussed the agenda documents of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be held in Armenia in 2026, as well as issues related to mobilizing the resources necessary for the implementation of the Convention and its financial mechanisms.

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance also held bilateral meetings with international organizations, discussing prospects for cooperation, taking into account Armenia’s role as the host country of COP17.
