Armenian President meets Greek counterpart in Athens

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas during his state visit to Greece.

The one-on-one meeting took place after an official welcoming ceremony in Athens and will be followed by an enlarged-format meeting.

The Armenian delegation includes Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan; Parliament Majority Leader MP Hayk Konjoryan, who is also the Chair of the Armenia-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group; Presidential Office Chief of Staff Khachatur Poghosyan; Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan; and First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Gevorg Mantashyan.

The Greek delegation includes Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis-Michail Loverdos; Presidential Office Secretary General Aliki Chatzi; Secretary General for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Enterprise Greece Dimitris Skalkos; and Vice Admiral Efthymios Mikros, Director of the Military Office of the Presidency.

The agenda of the meeting between the Presidents of Armenia and Greece includes issues aimed at developing multifaceted cooperation in areas such as security, economy, trade, technology, science, and education.

The two countries will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on technology cooperation.

Within the framework of the meeting, a medal-awarding ceremony is planned. The President of Greece will present the Grand Cross of the Order of the Redeemer to the President of Armenia, while the President of Armenia will award the Order of Glory to his Greek counterpart.
