Armenian Ambassador presents credentials to Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Georgi Kocharyan, presented his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, the Embassy of Armenia in Uzbekistan said in a press release.

Following the ceremony, a meeting between Ambassador Kocharyan and Foreign Minister Saidov took place, during which the prospects for the development of relations between Armenia and Uzbekistan, as well as issues of mutual interest, were discussed.

In particular, the initialing of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Inter-State Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, 2025, was emphasized as a decisive factor in establishing stability and peace in the region.

The development of interregional connectivity was also discussed.

Both sides emphasized the importance of developing and expanding economic and trade ties between Armenia and Uzbekistan, organizing mutual visits at the highest levels, and holding a regular session of the intergovernmental commission.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Saidov wished the newly appointed Ambassador  success in his future activities.
