Armenian Ambassador to France and the Prime Minister’s Personal Representative to the Permanent Council of La Francophonie (CPF), a principal institution of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), Arman Khachatryan, participated in the organization’s 257th session of the Political Committee.
The Armenian Embassy said in a press release that Ambassador Khachatryan, in his remarks, referred to the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, reaffirming Armenia’s commitment to establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus. The Ambassador presented the progress of the TRIPP project implemented within the framework of the agreements reached in Washington.
Ambassador Arman Khachatryan also noted that Armenia continues its preparatory work for hosting the 10th Francophonie Games (Jeux de la Francophonie), scheduled to take place in Yerevan in 2027, and reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to continue close cooperation with the relevant bodies of the OIF.
Referring to the elections scheduled for June 7, the Ambassador emphasized the Armenian Government’s commitment to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections in line with international standards and underscored the importance of the OIF observation mission’s presence.
