U.S. Vice President's visit boosts investment interest in Armenia: Pashinyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the public atmosphere surrounding the visit of U.S. Vice President JD Vance to Armenia has been positive and has helped draw additional attention to the country’s investment opportunities.

“The visit of the U.S. Vice President, and especially of such a bright political figure as JD Vance, naturally places Armenia in the global spotlight. It is very important that the attention of the U.S. investment community is additionally drawn to the investment opportunities that have opened and continue to open in Armenia,” Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister noted that Vance's visit marked the strong political will of the United States to support investments in Armenia.

“For the first time, we are implementing and will continue to implement cooperation with the United States in the defense sector. However, it is important to emphasize that all of this is, in fact, the outcome of the peace agenda,” Pashinyan said.

On February 9, U.S. Vice President JD Vance arrived in Armenia on an official visit, accompanied by Second Lady Usha Vance and their children.

As part of the visit, a private meeting, an expanded meeting, and a joint press conference were held between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Vice President JD Vance.

During the visit, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the U.S. Vice President signed a Joint Statement on the completion of negotiations on an Agreement for Peaceful Nuclear Cooperation between the United States of America and the Republic of Armenia.
