U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Armenia has historical and symbolic significance, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said following his meeting with the U.S. Vice President.
“It is a great honor to host U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his delegation, who are on an official visit to Armenia. This visit is truly historical and symbolic. This is the first visit by a U.S. vice president to the Republic of Armenia. It reflects the depth of the strong and strategic partnership formed between the Republic of Armenia and the United States,” the Prime Minister said.
Pashinyan recalled the first meeting held on February 7, 2025, noting that it was of great importance for further developments, becoming a starting point for deepening bilateral relations. The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump and the U.S. Vice President for organizing the Washington Peace Summit on August 8, 2025.
“With that summit, we gave a strong boost to Armenia–U.S. relations, and with President Trump’s involvement, peace was established between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
