JD Vance says Armenia could become major foothold for regional economic development

Armenia is now at a stage where it can become a major center of economic development in the region, U.S. Vice President JD Vance said during an expanded meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.
At the beginning of his remarks, the U.S. Vice President conveyed the warm greetings of U.S. President Donald Trump to Armenia and the Armenian people.
“This is a beautiful country. Thank you for hosting me and my family. This is one of the oldest Christian countries in the world."
He noted Armenia has an opportunity not only to establish a historically stable and irreversible peace, but it now at a point where it can become a major foothold of economic development in this region.
"This will bring prosperity to the people of Armenia and benefit the people of the United States,” the U.S. Vice President said.
