PM Pashinyan, UAE President meet in Abu Dhabi, sign bilateral agreement

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi.

The UAE President once again congratulated the Armenian Prime Minister on the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that the new opportunities would contribute to a new level of regional cooperation. He emphasized the UAE’s readiness to deepen and expand ties with Armenia across various fields.

Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked the UAE President for the warm hospitality, noting that the Armenian Government attaches importance to the continued development of trade and economic relations with the UAE. He stressed that there is significant potential, as well as the necessary political will, to achieve the outlined goals.

The parties discussed the implementation of joint economic programs, exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, and highlighted the importance of organizing high-level reciprocal visits.

In the presence of the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of the UAE, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi signed the agreement on Trade in Services and Investment between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s working visit to the UAE has concluded. The Prime Minister and his wife, Anna Hakobyan, were seen off at Abu Dhabi Airport by the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.
