FM Mirzoyan, UAE counterpart discuss expanding bilateral cooperation

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
According to a readout by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the parties discussed issues related to the development of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the UAE. Both sides emphasized their readiness to expand cooperation in a number of areas alongside the active political dialogue.
In this context, the sides discussed opportunities to promote trade, economic, and business ties, as well as investment programs. It was noted that these efforts could be facilitated by the growing number of direct flights and increased tourism volumes in recent years.
Regional issues were also addressed. Minister Mirzoyan underscored the importance of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as initiatives aimed at its continued development. He highly appreciated the initiative of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity.
The meeting further touched upon prospects for regional connectivity, expansion of infrastructure networks, and humanitarian issues.
