Nearly 300,000 jobs have been created in Armenia since the Pashinyan administration took office in 2018, according to a Cabinet minister.
Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, said at a parliamentary hearing convened by the Civil Contract party that average monthly salaries have also increased.
“As of December 2025, the number of jobs stood at 822,662, an increase of 281,234 compared to April 2018. Even if only a small portion of this increase comes from bringing jobs out of the shadow economy, that is still very important both for the future of those individuals and for the state budget. While some promise 300,000 jobs, we have already achieved this—even without announcing it,” the minister said.
According to Torosyan, the average salary in December 2025 was 401,000 drams, compared to 327,000 drams in November 2025 and 173,000 drams in April 2018.
