Pashinyan, Aliyev continue talks in one-on-one format

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a one-on-one meeting in Abu Dhabi following an enlarged-format meeting involving high-level officials from both sides.

The two leaders arrived in the UAE capital to accept the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity. Both leaders have been named 2026 honorees of the Zayed Award in recognition of the peace process between the two countries.

The enlarged-format meeting was attended by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan.

The Azerbaijani side included Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, and President Aliyev’s envoy for special assignments, Elchin Amirbayov.
