Armenian parliament delegation visits Sweden

Within the framework of the programme for the development of democratic cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden, the delegation led by the Vice President of the Armenian National Assembly, the Head of the Working Group on the Development of Democratic Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden Ruben Rubinyan is in Stockholm (Kingdom of Sweden) from February 1 to 3, the press service of the Parliament said in a readout.

The delegation comprises of the Chair of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly Vladimir Vardanyan, the Head of With Honor Faction Hayk Mamijanyan, MPs Lusine Badalyan, Garnik Danielyan, and the NA Deputy Chief of Staff Heghine Khachikyan.

The Head of the working group on the Swedish side is the Third Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden Kerstin Lundgren.

During the visit, the parties discussed issues regarding parliamentary oversight, communication and contacts with voters and civil society, as well as politics at the state and community levels.

The RA NA delegation had meetings in a working lunch format with the Governor of Uppsala Stefan Attefall and the former Speaker of the Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden Björn von Sydow, and visited the National Audit Office of the Kingdom of Sweden.
